I am an artist. I love to write, play with visual media, and streamline my surroundings with my own aesthetic authority.
I’ve recently had twins so my projects have slowed down. This blog is about overcoming the walls in our lives to get things done, however that happens for me and for you.
Creative and free expression is one of the most important individual pursuits in life. My perspective is worth sharing with others and blogging is one of the most efficient modes of expressing perspective. However, sometimes it takes a long time to get around to doing things we actually want to do, for me that is blogging, returning emails, finishing my paintings, and finishing the book I started, and for you it may be something else. The tangles in time are those moments when we wait too long to do whatever it is that we really want to do and this blog is about those moments when we are being authentic in our efforts to act in accordance with who we are and what we want to spend our time doing. Aristotle once said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.” Considering this is true, then my first piece of advice for untangling some time, is to start “getting into the habit” of doing what you really want to do. Besides forming habits there are lots of tangly topics to unwind here in this blog, but if you are working on your good habits and I’m working on mine, then a community is what we will find. (just couldn’t help myself, when I saw a little rhyme)
You may go on to a post and never see this about page again, so if there is one thing I wish for you to take away from this introduction it is that I welcome, invite, CRAVE, need, and cherish your comments, and feedback.
Anyhoo, here is a picture of my awesome dog, C.J., short for Corduroy Jones. He was a lucky find and has brought endless joy to our happy home. His name is inspired by the children stories about a bear named Corduroy who lived in a department store and had a missing button on his overalls written by Don Freeman.
